Why is Windshield Sensor Calibration Necessary?
If you have a newer vehicle, you might have some newer systems and sensors installed in your car. These are known as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Among these include a windshield sensor. When you have a windshield replacement, you will need to have a windshield sensor calibration.

Here are a few reasons to help you understand why the calibration process is so necessary:
- Ensure accuracy:Windshield sensor calibration is necessary to check all sensors connected to the windshield to ensure they are all properly aligned and angled. This will allow for more accurate readings from the sensors rather than giving faulty information that could cause issues for you while driving.
- Ensure safety: When any of your ADAS sensors are misaligned or not calibrated properly, they can give you inaccurate information that can cause you to overcorrect or not react to a situation quickly enough. It could also cause the system to shut down entirely. No matter the situation, it can cause safety issues that could be easily avoided with windshield sensor calibration.
